Meet Rose
Rose is a devoted mother of five and brings a strong commitment to eduation. She has extensive experience in public service and servant leadership and previously served as an appointed school board member in another district.
Rose has served as a church youth leader, volunteered in prison ministry and was a dedicated PTA volunteer including serving as PTA President.
Rose recognizes the invaluable role parents play in the lives of their children and seeks to empower parents by always including them in decisions impacting their children.
Rose's Priorities
Parental Rights and Involvement
Rose recognizes parents as their children's first educators. She firmly believes in parents' right to be involved and have a say in matters impacting their children.
Academic Excellence & Opportunity
Rose is committed to ensuring that every student receives the necessary skills and opportunities to succeed, whether they choose a college path, enter the workforce, or enlist in the military.
Fiscal Responsibility
The school board oversees $1.1 billion in taxpayer funds. Rose will strive to ensure that budget allocations prioritize maximizing academic achievement.
School Infrastructure
Rose recognizes the inflationary challenges surrounding the division's 86 schools. She will prioritize maintenance and draw on her experience to analyze rebuilds.
Supporting Teachers
Teachers are the backbone of a quality education. Rose will ensure teachers have the necessary resources and support from administrators.
